You see no ads, and nothing tracks you across apps or sites. We never see what you read or listen to.
What you read stays on your phone.
Your files, pages, books, notes and scans stay inside Aloudeo on your phone. The voices run on your phone's own chip, so no word you hear goes to a server. Pages you scan with the camera turn into text on your phone. On Android, your Aloudeo files stay out of cloud backups.
Downloads carry nothing of yours.
The first time you press play, your phone downloads the voices once: from Hugging Face on iPhone, from GitHub on Android. A link you save fetches its page from that site, the way your browser would. Neither download sends anything about you.
On Android, Google's text reader sends its own diagnostics.
When you add a photo or scan a page on Android, Google's ML Kit turns it into text on your phone. ML Kit then sends Google anonymous diagnostics: your phone model and Android version, Aloudeo's version, how long the reading took, any error code and a random ID for this install. It never sends your photo or its text. Google describes it at developers.google.com/ml-kit.
Purchases go through Apple, Google and RevenueCat.
The App Store or Google Play takes every payment. RevenueCat, our purchase service, checks your plan with a random ID made on your phone, and never sees what you read. We only learn whether Pro is on. RevenueCat keeps the purchase record so you can restore it on a new phone; read its policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
You browse this site untracked.
This site sets no tracking cookies. If you join the waitlist, we keep your email, the phone you picked and the page you signed up on, only to write to you on launch day. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person sent the form.
Delete it all in one move.
Delete Aloudeo and everything you saved goes with it. To delete the purchase record RevenueCat keeps, or your waitlist email, write to us and we delete it.
Your rights.
You can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to your data protection authority. We hold nothing about you but the anonymous purchase record above and, if you joined, your waitlist email. You never give us a name or a birthday, and neither do children.
